The PinFit PL Omni drives evolution in retrofitting. A patented modular socket design and embedded universal driver make the PinFit PL Omni suitable for any PL Lamp retrofit application. The proprietary modular socket design allows for easy switching of the lamp socket from G24q to G24d in the field for great installation versatility. An embedded universal driver allows the lamp to perform in electronic ballast, magnetic ballast, or no-ballast environments, providing optimal field flexibility. The lamps can be installed either vertically or horizontally for 360° light distribution. 6.8W and 9W PinFit lamps available in four color temperatures replace most CFLs. UL classified and listed for both direct and bypass installations.

SelectDrive PAR38 HO was selected as the first selectable lumen output PAR38 with 277V capability. Generating up to 2,500 lumen light output, the lamps are suitable to replace 250W halogen light sources. Featured with our SelectDrive technology with 3-level power output options, the PAR38 HO lamps cover much more sellable SKUs at greatly reduced stock management cost and provide better flexibility of adjustable lumens to clients in the field. During field installation, designers often find the standard light levels just don’t suffice. Default “on” settings can be too bright or not bright enough, or the designer may want lamps on the same circuit to emit different amounts of light.

SelectDrive solves this problem. Lighting professionals may alter the light output by flipping the lumen-adjustment switch on the bulb. This feature adds flexibility and simplicity to lighting design.

Bulbs in the HID replacement series feature an embedded thermal sensor. If the lamp’s ambient temperature exceeds the threshold level, power is reduced, extending the product’s lifetime. Smooth dimming in E26 bulbs means lower energy costs and greater flexibility in design.

All lamps in this series incorporate a compact design, making installation easy in bollards, canisters, and enclosed streetlights.

SANFORD, FL., September 14, 2021 – John Dinger, CEO of ILLUMUS, will retire effective October 4, 2021.  As part of this planned retirement, Neil Yeargin has been identified as the new CEO.  Dinger will remain as an adviser to ILLUMUS through 2021 and assist in the transition to Yeargin.

Yeargin’s earlier roles included President of Interconnect Solutions, a division of ITT, and SVP, Global Commercial Solutions at Invensys PLC, and other leadership positions at Cooper Industries and Honeywell.

LED retrofits get a tech upgrade – GREEN CREATIVE offers new SelectDrive external drivers with improved technology for linear LED lamps

(SANFORD, FL, August 19th, 2021) — GREEN CREATIVE is proud to announce the launch of their SelectDrive Type C linear LED retrofit system.  The external driver and lamps include an array of advanced technical focused on maximum flexibility in lighting design.

The slim and easy-to-install external driver features an integrated SelectDrive switch, enabling users to adjust the power consumed and corresponding lumen output level. The SelectDrive switch allows users to adjust the brightness to a comfortable level, without requiring an additional control system.

The SelectDrive external driver easily integrates into 0-10V control systems and will provide flicker-free Dim-To-Off performance.  This enables the system to be used in occupancy/vacancy sensing applications and daylight harvesting, both of which support energy compliance to most current building codes.

Like other GREEN CREATIVE Type C power supplies a parallel output design is utilized which eliminates the need for a driver to carry a minimum load to operate properly.  Should an end user decide to remove one of the installed LED lamps proper power levels will be maintained eliminating damage from overload conditions. This results in improved safety and reduced maintenance.

These intelligent design features enhance usability and give designers, installers, and the occupants of a space, the ability to sculpt their lighting to whatever is required.

“Over the past year, we’ve made steady progress on our T8 lamps,” says Ken Charton, Product Line Manager for lamps at GREEN CREATIVE. “We’re now achieving efficacy of up to 170 lumens per watt and have extended the L70 lifetime to 60,000 hours. These improvements translate into genuine savings on energy and maintenance costs.”

The lamps replace existing 32W 4-foot T8 fluorescent lights and are compatible with shunted and non-shunted sockets. The ballast is bypassed during installation, reducing the chance of component failure and eliminating the need to confirm ballast compatibility.

The series includes unique safety features that exceed UL requirements such as fusing to avoid thermal failure if mistakenly installed with a fluorescent ballast and an innovative safety switch which prevents accidental electric shock during lamp installation or removal.

The lamps are offered in four color temperatures, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K, with a 310° beam angle and an opaque lens design for less glare and maximum visual comfort.
